Slumdog Millionaire won 8 Academy Awards including the top plum which is Best Picture. The other awards are: Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Film Editing, Best Original Score, Best Original Song and Best Sound Mixing.
According to the poll set by CNN, the survey last night stated that 51 % of the viewers think that it deserves to win while 49% said it does not deserve the award.
Actually, I haven't seen the movie yet, and I'm not even aware whether it was already shown here in the Philippines. I'm sure that if it wasn't screened here yet and people get to watch it, a lot of people will be trooping to the movie houses just to see it and definitely I'll be one of those who will watch.
I became curious about the film because of all the awards it won.

me too..i wanna watch this movie too.. so much highlights as u said.. but i think it is already shown here in Malaysia.. will buy a dvd or borrow from fren.. :)

grabe! pinakyaw nila lahat.. & i think they deserved their awards naman e....
i saw the film and all i could say is; it's the best!!! really deserving of the grandslam awards! :) watch it and you know what i'm talking about!
