November 27 and 28, Holidays No More

In my post last month entitled “Declared Holidays for November,”President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo signed Proclamation 1808 stating that Eid’l Adha or the Feast of the Sacrifice is a holiday to be observed all throughout the country.

But sadly on October 26, 2009, the President ordered through Proclamation No 1808-A that the said dates will be observed as special holidays only in the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao or ARMM.

November 27 and 28 are no longer holidays. November 30, is still a holiday because it is in observance of Bonifacio Day.

So instead of having a four days off for the last week of November, all the regions except for ARMM will only have three days weekend off.
