This news made my day!
The Philippines has a new World Boxing Organization (WBO) super-flyweight champion in Marvin Sonsona. The nineteen year old Sonsona defeated through a twelve round uanimous decision Jose "Carita" Lopez of Puerto Rico.
The boxing match which was held in Canada was the first fight of the new champion outside the country; he now has a record of 14-0, with 12 knockouts.
He is a heavily southpaw boxer just like Manny "Pacman" Pacquio and hails from the same city as Pacman which is General Santos City.
It's good to know that we have another boxing champ.
