A Grateful Heart and the Power of Prayer

Let me start this month with a positive post.
God is good and He graciously hears and answers our prayers!
For all those who prayed for my dad, thank you so much. His creatinine level is now okay and there is no need for a kidney biopsy.
Last Saturday, I was anxiously waiting for the laboratory result to be released, I want to know already whether my dad will be admitted to the hospital or not. My brother called me up at home since he was the one who went to the hospital to claim the result, my heart pounded so hard as I wait to hear the news from him and I was not disappointed. God granted my prayer.
I was in a way expecting that it will be a good result for him.
All throughout the week, I always reflect on Luke 18: 1-8 " The Parable of the Widow and the Judge."
It is about the corrupt judge who does not fear God and respect people and the widow who persevere in asking the judge to grant her the justice she deserved againts her opponent. The judge gave in to her request because the widow kept on begging the judge for a long period of time and never gave up even if the judge refused her a number of time. The judge then said that " I will see to it that she gets her rights. If I don't, she will keep on coming and finally wear me out!" ( Luke 18: 5 )
In the end of the parable, Jesus told his disciples that if the judge who is corrupt did that to the widow, "will God not judge in favor of his own people who cry to him day and night for help, " ( Luke 18: 7 )
I know thatGod granted my prayer because a lot people prayed for him. I asked prayers from family members , friends and even from online friends who I have not met yet offered a few minutes of their time to intercede for my dad.
My special thanks to: Grace, Enchie, Meryl, Juliana, Joy,Rita T, Sheng, Abie, Poetic Shutterbug, Dazediva, Super Mommy to the Rescue, American History. Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement. God bless you and all of your loved ones.
