Investing in Gold

If you have an extra cash where do you want to invest it? Will you invest it in a business? buy stocks in a stock market? or get a mutual fund? Or have you considered buying gold for your investment?

I am familiar with investing in a mutual fund because I have one but with regards to investing in gold, I don't have any idea about this vehicle of investment. Gold spot, spot gold and gold price seems so foreign to me.

But according to an article I've read, investing in gold is a good investment because even if there is a negative economic or political situation, the price of gold continuously rises. Gold prices in the market is stable.

Investing in gold can be done by buying gold coins, gold nuggets or gold bars. You may invest in gold too by buying stocks of mining company.

People are buying gold because of its liquidity. There's a high demand for gold in the market today so once you place your gold in sale you can be sure that it will be bought immedietely and converted to cash.

If you want to learn more about gold investment - goldcoinsgain.com is the perfect place to surf. It offers tons of information on gold and gold investments.

July

July has not been a productive month for my blog. I wonder is it because this month has been a boring one that I don't have anything special to share? Or is it because I don't have any writing assignment to finish?

The whole month of June and the first two weeks of July, I would be either in a doctor's clinic or I'm in a diagnostic laboratory subjecting myself to various medical procedures. I still had another appointment with my pulmonologist two weeks ago but I did not have myself check because I'm having issues with my doctor. I think that she had rush with her diagnosis giving me medicines to take without even subjecting me first to the standard laboratory exam. After the medicines was given, that's when she ordered the diagnostic test and it turned out I was negative for the exam. I feel bad because I was taking a medicine for something that I'm not sick off.

I'm tired of seeing doctors for the meantime and even if I'm not yet feeling one hundred percent better, I'm taking my time off to relax and not stress about my health. I actually enjoyed the last two weekends just staying in the house and doing the normal routine I did before I got sick and have myself in and out of the hospital clinic. I'm still in the lookout for a new doctor who will really listen and someone I can trust because the last one was really a big disappointment.

Paid post this month has not been numerous unlike in the previous months. I only had one. I always check my email to see an assignment from my favorite sponsored post provider and I was so suprise to see that I had one from them so that makes two for this month. Anyway, I still have four more days before the month draws to a close perhaps another assignment will make its way to me. :)

My Favorite Verse

This is one of my favorite verses from the bible -
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you."

My New Bag

I have a new bag!

I love it so much because it was given as a gift from my boyfriend's sister. His sister is based in Japan and is in town to do some business.

This bag is nothing fancy but I can't help but smile everytime I remembered that my boyfriend's sister had my name on her list of people she's going to give some going home presents. I really feel that I'm considered as part of the family. The last time she visited her family she gave me a perfume. My boyfriend got himself a shirt, laptop and a mobile phone. :)

Typhoon Basyang, The Killers and Cars

I didn't get to sleep well last Tuesday night. Typhoon Basyang released her strong winds around midnight. I woke up to the sound of the howling wind and brown-out. The whole metro's electricity was cut due to the winds. It was hard to go back to sleep because you can hear the crashing of things being blown away or taken out of its place by the wind.

The following Wednesday morning, my brother woke up early because he needs to commute since there's no electricity to power the Metro Rail Transit train. Classes were suspended and electricity was only restored very late in the afternoon.

Since, there's nothing much to do in the office, I took the afternoon off. My boyfriend and I went to the supermarket to do the grocery and went to the hardware store to buy some materials for our weekend home project. With all errands finished we watched "The Killers," starring Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl.

We enjoyed wathching the "The Killers." It was funny and Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl has chemistry and really looks good on screen. And I love Nice, France where the characters they played meet for the first time. Nice, France is lovely. I told my boyfriend that one day I'm going to visit it with him. Better save up for that trip.

In the opening sequence, Ashton Kutcher was driving a posh car wow I want to have that one too. It was really a very handsome car. I wonder if I own such car in the Philippines where will I buy replacement parts like exhaust pipe if such cases arises?

Good thing, there's an online automatic accessories superstore like CARiD in the net today. Car owners need not fret about buying their cars specialized accessories like: dash kits, custom wheels, head lights, body kits and others; all they need to do is just logon and type CARid.com. which carry an extensive lines of parts and brands.

My Aunt's Surprise Birthday Bash

Last Sunday our family attended the surprise birthday bash of my Aunt Edna organized by her five pretty daughters.

My aunt is the elder sister of my father. Although, she's the only daughter among five children, my grandfather did not gave her an Eighteenth Debut Party, something she had always wished for. Since, she did not have it during her time, she made sure that each of her five daughters has a grand debut party for their Eighteenth Birthday.

My cousins mindful that their mother did not have the debut party she had wanted when she was eighteen gave her some sort of a debut like party for her sixtieth birthday.

The surprise party was held at Craving's Katipunan. The venue was just right for the Black and White themed party.

Aunt Edna thought that the make-up session she had along with her daughters at David's Salon was because their family is going to have a formal family picture taking at a photo studio.

Imagine my aunt's surprise as she steps into Cravings and saw the many guests - family, relatives and friends gathered together to celebrate her special day.

My aunt is a very loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She has a very happy disposition, she's hardworking and generous.

To my aunt I wish her long life, good health and more success in her medical profession.

I Lost 7 Pounds

After my appointment with the gastroenterologist two weeks ago, she refered me to a pulmonologist because my main concern is my breathing problems.

So last weekend, I consulted a pulmonologist at the Lung Center of the Philippines and she said that all my symptoms point to asthma. To assess my asthma she requested a pulmonary function test for me and before that I had my xray which turns out to be clear. Aside from the pulmonary function test, I also had an electrocardiogram examination, an artearial blood gas exam, complete blood count and even a urinalysis. All these tests left a big hole in my pocket.
Being sick is not only physically draining but financially exhausting as well. hehehe.

I was off the whole afternoon from work to have the pulmonary function test at the Lung Center. Before the actual exam, the medical technologist noted my height and my weight.

The last time I checked myself on the scale before I got sick, I weight 113 pounds. Now, I only weigh 106 pounds.

I remember that a few months back, I was into running because I want to shed three pounds and now I even double the pounds I lost because I really lost my appetite during the last month. But there's no sense of satisfaction on losing the weight because I achieved it through a very unhealthy way - I got sick. I would not exchange my health for the few pounds I lost because of my sickness.

Anyway, all the results will be in this coming Saturday. Oh well, I'm tired of being sick and I believed I'm on my way back to my healthy days. Please pray for me. :)

Ultrasound

Funny that before I wrote this post I happened to read the blog of an high school classmate of mine about her ultrasound experience when I was about to blog about the same thing.

I was happy for my classmate because it was a wonderful experience for her because she and her loved ones were able to know the gender of the baby - a boy for her firstborn. I could just imagine how excited she was on her way to her ultrasound and how glad she was after the 4D scan has been handed to her - the first pictures of her baby.
On my part however, it was a different story. I wished I was there because I'm pregnant too. But I'm not. I was there upon the orders of my gastroenterologist for an upper abdominal ultrasound. But I knew deep inside me that nothing is wrong with any of my upper abdominal organs and the sonologist at the clinic confirmed it. That was a relief.
For those with upper abdominal ultrasound request - don't forget that you need to fast at least six hours before your ultrasound.

My work-up does not end there though, I'm still due to have an appointment with a pulmonologist this coming Saturday. But, I have this strong feeling within me telling me that everything is okay with my lungs as well and that the initial diagnosis I've got is not true at all.

I just knew that I'll be okay.
