My Dream Trip

KC Concepcion was on television last Saturday at” Entertainment Live,” shown over ABS-CBN Channel.

When I saw her, I remembered the city of Paris in France because everyone in the country knew that she studied college and lived there for a period of time.

I have always wanted to go to Paris, the capital of France. In my mind, I have always associated the city to romance, beauty and grandeur. I would like to go there one day and visit that magnificent place.

If I can make this wish a reality my dream trip would somehow go like this……

If I have the money I will go to London in Britain first to ride the high speed euro train service that passes under the English Channel that would be an exciting way to start my trip.

But friends, if you want to travel through plane, the city has two major airports to welcome its guests going in and out of Paris.

I’ll go and visit the different museums, gardens and landmarks.I'll travel around the city making use of the Paris Metro Commuter train so that I can mingle with the French commuters. May be I can picked up some French phrases along the way. I hope the Parisians are friendly.

I will make sure that I stay in a place within the Champ Elysee district. I can check out the different hotels in the area and choose which is the best by scouting for it in the computer.

Champ Elysee is at the Northeast of the city center and within this part of Paris are the best theaters and restaurants. The Palais Elysee or the Presidential Mansion, the official residence of the President of France is also located here.

Part of my itinerary would definitely be the following:

  1. A boat cruise along the Seine River would be romantic.
  2. A visit to the Louvre museum to see the smile of Mona Lisa and the other masterpieces of the great Masters.
  3. A whole day of fun with Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck at Disneyland Paris
  4. A stop at the Eiffel Tower.
  5. A sample of the delicious gourmet meals at the top French restaurants.

Wow! I love to be in Paris!

But at the moment, I’ll have to save first for my ultimate dream trip to be reality.

Updates

To my blogger friends: Marshi and Sheng, I'll post the answers to your tag soon.

I've been busy at work lately that I can't make time to blog at work plus my computer's internet connection was down for days.

But, I'll post those tags soon.

Let me end this post with the lyric of the song played in the movie "If Only."

You can read the entry before this post to have a little bit of information about the film.

It was posted only now because I don't have the lyrics yet when I post my review on the movie because of the reasons I've previously mentioned.

Love Will Show You Everything
by Jennifer Love Hewitt
Today, I bet my life
You have no idea
What I feel inside
Don't be afraid to let it show
For you'll never know
If you let it out
I love you, you love me
Take this gift and don't ask why
Cause if you, will let me
I'll take what scares you
-hold it deep inside
And if you, ask me why
I'm with you and why I'll never leave
Love will show you everything
One day,
When youth is just a memory
I know,
You'll be standing right next to me
I love you, you love me
Take this gift and don't ask why,
Cause if you, will let me
I'll take what scares you and hold it deep inside
And if you, ask me why
I'm with you and why I'll never leave
My love will show you everything.

Movie Time Part II : If Only

Aileen, a friend of mine bought a complete series of “Sana Maulit Muli” on DVD. This soap opera was shown on ABS-CBN in January 2007. It featured the love team of Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson.

Aileen was raving about this soap opera for days.

I told her that the plot of the television series is similar to the film “If Only” with Jennifer Love Hewitt as the lead actress.

I informed her that she’ll love “If Only” if she liked “Sana Maulit Muli.”

Aileen bought a DVD copy of the movie and we watched it together last Sunday night.

The film is about Ian and Samantha. Ian is a successful British man who loves his girlfriend Samantha but is scared to admit his true feelings for her. And because of his fear he buries himself in his work. Samantha on the other hand is an American, free-spirited violinist who loves Ian deeply and tries hard to hold on to the relationship.

After Samantha’s graduation from one of Britain’s finest music school, she and Ian had a bitter argument about the issues surrounding their relationship that resulted in their break up. As Samantha’s cab speed away leaving Ian behind, the cab was bumped by another car, hitting Samantha and killing her. The tragic accident was witness by Ian.

Ian was filled with great sadness and regret that he never told her and shown her how much he loved her.

When he woke up the following day, he was surprised and confused to see Samantha in his room that he thought she was a ghost.

He realized that she was still alive and that the accident was just a dream. But as the day unfolds, everything seems almost the same as he had dreamt of.

And I leave the story from there. I don’t want to spoil the ending to those who want to see the movie for themselves.

Will Ian’s love be enough to save Samantha’s life? Will they leave London to run away from death?

The ending of the movie is something you’ll never suspect.

Watch the movie and I’ll guarantee that you’ll love it.

Movie Time: The Mummy 3

Boyet and I went to Blue Wave – Marikina to watch “ The Mummy- Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.” It is our first time to see a movie there because we often go to Market!Market! in Taguig for our movie date but we were lazy to travel to Taguig from Quezon City.

Blue Wave’s theater house is okay. The air conditioning system is really cold, the screen is huge and it’s not crowded so we had the chance to choose the best seat in the house. But what disappoints me is that there are only a handful of snacks to choose from. There is only one snack bar which offers soft drink, popcorn, chips and nothing else. We had to settle for a bucket of popcorn and soft drink. I was craving for pizza from Pizza Hut which we usually have when we have our movie date. Next time will buy our snack some where else and just bring it with us as we watch the movie because we will definitely be back there for “Hell Boy.”

The Mummy 3 is as entertaining as the first two installments, the humor is there and the visual effect is still great. But what is missing in the movie that it pails in comparison to the first two is the presence of Rachel Weisz who played Evie O’ Connell in Mummy 1&2. Maria Bello ( the actress who replaced Rachel Weisz for the role ) and Brendan Fraser on screen tandem lack chemistry. And Ms. Maria Bello’s acting tend to border on overacting.

But I will still recommend the film to those who wants to be entertained, laugh their hearts out and see the handsome Brendan Fraser who happens to be my long time crush.

Before the week draws to a close let me share with you some inspiring words written by Marianne Williamson.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frighten us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God!
Your playing small does not serve the world. There is
nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people
will not feel insecure around you.
It is not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give
other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically
liberates others.

Extreme Makeover ( Part II )

As promise, here is the second part of my post on the extreme makeover episode I’ve written last week. Last week’s entry can be viewed here.

The new house of the Dolan Family (as expected from Extreme Makeover) is massive, beautiful and functional. It suits the needs of Jaime, the visually impaired father and every member of his family.

The house has high ceiling and spacious room that will give Jaime the freedom to move around the house without bumping into the walls and furniture. It is equipped with the state of art computer technology – through voice activation Jaime can order the lights to turn on/off, home appliances to switch on/off and the computer to read and send e-mail for Jaime. The house also has different kinds of wind chimes in different parts of the house so that each chime emits a different kind of sound that will enable Jaime to distinguish which part of the house he is in.

The eldest son, Charlie has a robotic theme in his room, since his interest is on robots. The child wanted to create a robotic eye for his Dad in the future.

Haley, Jaime’s daughter, loves puzzles and the color pink. The design team created a room bathe in pink paint, with puzzle mural on the wall, cut puzzle pieces on the ceiling, floor and wall, even the bed sheets are printed with puzzle designs and the pillows are puzzle shaped as well.

The youngest son, T.J. has a jungle theme for his room. Stuffed monkeys hanged from the ceiling, elephants and tigers are positioned near the bed. The animals have buttons that one can push in order to hear the sounds of these animals.

The master bedroom of the couple is like a suite in a luxury hotel.

The backyard has a mini golf course so that Jaime can still play his favorite sport with his son.

But aside from the home improvements, the show gave the family other surprises as well: like a college scholarship grant for Charlie and$100,000 money to help the family move on from the tragic incident that happened to Jaime.

So that’s about everything that happened in the show.

Household Chore

Rhia has tagged me. Welcome back to the blogging world girl!

Here are the rules:

1.) List down the household chores you hate and why. Do you think you can survive without helpers and nannies?

2.) Copy the image.

3.) Tag as many girlfriends as you want, the Daddies and Hubbies can also join.

4.) Add your Blog's link in the domesticated divas linky love. You can add all your blogs.

5.) Leave
ME a comment and I'll add you up in the master list.

DOMESTICATED DIVAS:
Living the Healthy Life / Stripe&Yellow / Vanity Kit / Mind Bubbles / Something Purple / Em's Detour / Insights from the Grocery Cart / Living A' La Mode / God's Best Gift / Life Together Starts / A Housewife's Journal / As We Face Forever/ From This Side

My answer to this tag is the same as Rhia’s. I don’t enjoy ironing clothes primarily because it is very warm and hot while ironing clothes and I cannot wash my hands after doing this chore.

As to the second question, my family has already survived more than a decade without house helps and nannies. Our household chores are divided among the members of my family and sadly pressing clothes is the one assigned to me.

~~~END COPY~~~
I want to know the answers of Tisha, Joy Ball, and Kiscy.
